FSSA Members:

We hope everyone is enjoying the start of summer! The FSSA PFAS Task Force has been continuing to meet weekly to provide updates, resources, and webinars for you. 

During the NFPA Conference in June, task force met in person between sessions. Thank you to all the members who dropped by to say hello and offer feedback. The meeting was very productive with an emphasis on tactical action items to be accomplished over the next several months as an effort to focus on the marketing and public relations of the FSSA PFAS Task Force efforts to be a leader in the industry.

The following is a list of the primary action items discussed: 

1. The FSSA PFAS Task Force will publish a public facing blog focused on educating readers on the real PFAS impact of fire protection vs the perceived impact.
2. The marketing committee is working on a campaign distributing video segments from the latest webinar by FSSA Honorary Member, Paul Rivers though our blog, YouTube, and our social media channels. This will likely begin towards the end of July or early August.
3. The FSSA PFAS Task Force will produce a PDF that is a boiled down version of the PFAS webinar that is easy for end users to consume and understand.
4. The FSSA PFAS Task Force will create a series of bite size information in layman's terms that can be used on social media.
5. The FSSA PFAS Task Force is working on a plan to rebrand PFAS to another term like non-PBT.

The task force has published a list of frequently asked questions related to PFAS. You'll be able to get answers to questions including:
