The online FSSA Training Program is an important part of our mission as the leading authority and advocate of special hazard fire protection. FSSA is proud to offer this program as a complimentary benefit to members due to the continued support of volunteer contributors.

This year, we are excited to work on improvements and course material updates to better serve our industry. One of our primary goals in improving the learning experience is to add video presentations (or think of them as mini prerecorded webinars) to each course. The FSSA Training & Development Committee is calling for volunteers to help with this project.

If you have interest or expertise in any of the Period Two courses below, consider volunteering to record a video that will be used as learning material for the person taking the class. Along with your contribution to FSSA, this is a great way to gain industry exposure for you and your organization!

• Course 8.2: Basic Extinguishing Agents - Overview of Gaseous Agents
• Course 8.3: Basic Extinguishing Agents - CO2
• Course 8.4: Basic Extinguishing Agents - Clean Agents
• Course 8.5: Basic Extinguishing Agents - Water Mist
• Course 9.1: Pre-Engineered Systems - Dry Chemical
• Course 9.2: Pre-Engineered Systems - Wet Chemical
• Course 10: Basic Fire Alarm Systems
• Course 11: Area, Volume, Weight Calculations 

Videos can be pre-recorded using Teams, Zoom or other platform of choice and submitted to FSSA Headquarters, or you can schedule a time with FSSA Headquarters to record your video on our Zoom. The goal is to have video recordings completed by the end of April 2024. More information and guidelines including branded PowerPoint template and Zoom background will be provided to volunteers following the sign-up deadline.
