2025 Annual Forum Friday Optional Activities

FSSA will offer the following optional activities for forum attendees and spouses on the morning of Friday, February 28, 2025. All options will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and include round trip transportation from the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa.

Registration is required for optional activities and available on the Annual Forum registration form. If you already registered for the forum and need to add on an activity, email FSSA Headquarters. The deadline to register for optional activities is February 18, 2025.

GOLF TOURNAMENT

Jacaranda Golf Club - East Course

Cost per person includes round-trip transportation from the hotel, greens fees, cart fees, boxed lunch, service fee and taxes. Tournament is scramble format with a 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.

Jacaranda Golf Club is South Florida’s premier semi-private golf facility, golffeaturing 36 holes of championship golf that are beautifully maintained throughout the year. The East & West courses, both rated four stars by Golf Digest, weave through a variety of ponds and canals, lending a tropical feel throughout. The East Golf Course, the longer of Jacaranda’s two courses, features more generous and undulating fairways than its championship counterpart.

Need to rent clubs? All fees are paid for by the individual. The Jacaranda Pro Shop has two options:

  • Titleist Premium: $100   
DRIFT FISHING TRIP

7:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
$195 per person

Includes round-trip transportation from the hotel, rods, bait, tackle and licenses. Max of 35 participants.

Join us for a four-hour fishing charter aboard The Mary B III, a 55’ Gulfcraft. The Mary B III is very comfortable with seating around the entire boat, enclosed salon with dinette seating, clean men’s and women’s restrooms, large live bait  well, beverages cooler (bring your own) and sport fishing capabilities. This boat is perfect for a day of fishing with fellow FSSA attendees!  drift

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Our crew is experienced, professional and friendly and they are there to assist you with everything. Catch of the season January-March is grouper, snapper, amberjack, kingfish, shark, barracuda and wahoo.

EVERGLADES EXPERIENCE TOUR

$230 per person

Includes round-trip transportation from the hotel, photo opportunity with a baby alligator, bottled water on airboats and ear plugs.

Throughout this tour, FSSA guests will learn about the importance of this unique environment and get acquainted with a live reptile before arriving to the destination. Upon arrival, guests will board their private airboat and will be swept deep into alligatorthe sawgrass prairie as they make their way to a remote island which the natives referred to as "Hammocks." After time on the island, guests will glide over the famous "river of grass.” Following the airboat ride, guests will get up close and personal with native and non-native reptiles that call the Everglades home. Don’t miss this unforgettable adventure that is sure to delight all the senses and resonate in your mind for years to come!

Guests should wear comfortable clothing and dress for the weather. Closed toed shoes, sunscreen, wide brimmed hat, and sunglasses are recommended for this tour.

BONNET HOUSE MUSEUM TOUR

The Bonnet House Museum and Gardens is a hidden gem in Fort Lauderdale and one of the few complete homes and studios of an American artist open to the public. The mission of this estate is to preserve how unique and historic it is through enjoyable and enriching cultural experiences. In addition to the historic significance, the Bonnet House encompasses one of the last examples in South Florida of a native barrier island habitat.

Following a guided tour of the Main House, a Nature Trail Driver will take you on a 15-minute ride around the trail. The Driver will share information about the plants, animals and ecosystems of this 35-acre coastal wilderness. This 2-hour tour will show guests a different side of Fort Lauderdale and leave them with an experience they will never forget.
